St. Blasien Dom-196 viewsBy far one of the highlights of the tour was our trip to The Dom in St. Blasien.

Jamie, Jo and Kathy-349 viewsAround the corner from home base (a ramshackle set of huts, infested by ants and affectionately nick named "Camp David" ) was a "ranch" - a western themed bar. This being the closest (if not only) bar the choir quickly made it a second home. Here we see Jamie, Jo and Kathy.

Dinner in Hochenschwand-337 viewsBack at the ranch (a youth hostel near Hochenschwand) we enjoy dinner in the bier haus across the road. A few bottles of the local Wies bier are on display.

Stargazing in Hochenschwand-264 viewsAfter dinner a few evenings (which were wonderfully warm) a few of us took to star gazing. In the middle of the Black Forest there is very little light pollution and it is possible to count satellites at a rate of a good couple a minute. A few bottles of the local Wies bier are on display.

St. Blasien Dom Interior-293 viewsFinally inside the Dom this is a shot down from the balcony of the chancel, from where we performed, down to the huge circular nave. The dome of the Dom (no pun intended) forms a perfect circle - the dome you see in the first picture in this album would fit upside down in the nave you see in this one.

Switzerland-368 viewsEarlier in the tour we popped across the border into Switzerland. Here we see a few choir members and Stevie the coach driver watching some engineers getting ready to move a bridge a few feet down the river, apparently it wasn't in quite the right place.
